Element FLX-2210 Flat Screen Tv problem?

This TV will turn on and then immediately turn off. I have a little electronics knowledge, but have no idea what could cause something like this on a TV of this type. I can't pay a fortune to have it fixed and don't have the money right now to buy another one.

Replace the power supply / inverter board.
Your backlight is registering a short or overvoltage condition.
