Purchasing a new TV today is an important decision. When you are spending the equivalent of what you used to spend taking the entire family on holiday several years ago it would be wise to ensure any decision made is a wise one.

With this article the aim is to take a look at what is on offer with the latest generation of Flat Screen Televisions and in this case the Hitachi 26LD200.
The 26LD200 is a 26in LCD TV and currently these TV's can be found for 550 pounds sterling or 1100 US dollars. The screen resolution is 1280 x 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is no. The Hitachi has 2 (1 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the 26LD200 uses is none at all. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Hitachi is available from limited outlets only.
So how would we rate the Hitachi 26LD200?

Need help with tv question?!?
I own a Hitachi c32wd2tn television set. This model was introduced in late 1998. Now the query i have is that on the back of the tv set, is a port exactly the same as the port that my monitor cable goes into on back of pc! Now does this mean that i can use tv as a monitor? (It is not a plasma or lcd). I dont want to spend £15 on a vga cable from maplins, if a) Irt wont work or b) I blow the tv set??
Can anyone help with this? Many Thanks
be very suprised if this is a vga input, more then likey a " service " port for the enginer to do a system check more then anything else.
