Numerous Inputs and Outputs
This LCD HDTV has output options for headphones, analog audio output, and coaxial digital audio output. It includes inputs for: one rear composite, three HDMI (two rear and one side), one rear component video, one rear RF, one rear PC video, one rear PC audio, and a side USB 2.0 port.
The PC video input lets you see your computer's digital media on the big screen, while the USB port allows for quick connection of a digital camera or other USB device. Additionally, you can connect the latest Blu-ray players, DVD players, camcorders, and game consoles using either the composite video inputs or the three HDMI (version 1.3) inputs. The HDMI inputs provide an uncompressed, all-digital audio/video link for the highest quality connection, and they also support copy-protected HD broadcast content.
Enhanced Picture and Sound Quality
You'll enjoy crisp, vibrant images thanks to this TCL television's brightness capability of 400 cd/m2. The 3-D Y/C digital comb filter also provides enhanced color and picture detail, and the 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution supports 720p signals for stunning image clarity.

Channel Labeling and Sleep Timer for Ease of Use
Designed with you in mind, this LCD television features a channel labeling option, which allows you to put station call letters (e.g. ABC, HBO, etc.) on the screen along with the channel numbers, so you always know which station you're watching. Additionally, a sleep timer feature lets you set the television to automatically turn off after a preset amount of time has passed.
Efficient Design Saves Money and Energy

I had not heard of the TCL brand before and did a little bit of research to find out that they're a Chinese company that has manufactured products for domestic sales since the mid-80s. Now they are selling their products here. The concern with any unknown brand would be longevity - will the TV last past the warranty? I can't comment on that, of course, because I've only had this TV for a few days. I can say that it was very easy to set up, and it produces a nice sharp picture. In addition to good HD streaming, it also produces a very nice image on the standard-definition channels. The sound from the speakers is a little flat, so if you care about high-quality sound, I would recommend connecting external speakers. At 40 inches, it's a nice size for a smaller living area. An attachable stand is included. There is no hardware included for wall mounting. It probably took me 10 minutes from the time I got the TV out of the box to having it up and running with stand attached. You'll need an HD cable to connect to your cable box or other receiver. Then you set the TV input to the HDMI setting, and you're watching TV. If you want to set your cable/universal remote to operate this TV, you may have a problem, since TCL is a newer brand and may not be included in your receiver's list of brand codes.
Overall, this is a very nice TV at a good price. The two-year warranty should take some of the concerns out of purchasing, but I'll be interested to see how the TV does in the long run.

I have a panasonic hdtv 1 component hookup 3 hdmi and 2 audio hookups....looking for the combination of hdmi and audio hookups so will hear sound coming out of the tv
HDMI carries audio. Its the only format that carries both video and audio over the same cable. So whether its a PS3, cable set top box, satellite set top box, HD antenna, or Xbox 360, if the device feeding your TV uses HDMI, then it will feed both audio/video together.
