Why you should buy an LCD TV

I looked up these two tvs in circuit city.
Samsung was $2700 and sony $3800.

That was the only difference really and its not that big.
Samsung won by .3 points in customer ratings.
So why is the sony $1100 more?!?! Is it really worth it to pay that much for such little difference?

The Sony probably would end up being a little better quality, but I don't really think it is worth the extra $1100. Of course I would not pay the Circuit City price for either of them, way too much.
