42 inch Panasonic hdtv projection television - just shut off.

It's not worth fixing. I've had a similar Panasonic HDTV and it died. I just gave it away to a friend and it cost him $600 to get a new part installed and fix. It was one of the boards for the power. The TV itself is worth no more than $200 if it was still working. Your better off getting a newer HDTV than fixing it. I'm betting it's going to cost you around that much to fix it. I know you wrote you can't afford to buy a new TV but it looks like that would be a better option than fixing something that is already obsolete. I'd seriously think about saving your money and getting something decent.
