i have just bought a large flat screen television. the picture is not as sharp as i thought it would be .?

Your picture will only be as good as the feed going in to it, check that its wired through the correct channels. Large screens show up more imperfections than standard CRT screens. Try the HDMI Xbox connection. For TV viewing make sure your have really good reception (I paid a ariel guy £20 to max mine and it was worth it). Make sure your leads are decent, you don't need 100 quid specials from currys-get some shielded gold plated ones from ebay for about 8 quid each, I did and they are great. My 360 and Sky now look great on my 42" without HD input.
