For consumers buying a new LCD TV there are numerous considerations to take into account. It is worth remembering that current LCD TV and plasma television models are not perfect. There are still flaws in the technology; one of which is image blur. This problem occurs because the refresh rate of the television is not fast enough to keep up with the display. The result is that companies such as Sony, Samsung, Sharp and LG have developed faster refresh rates. For example the latest versions of Bravia TV have a 200 Hz refresh rate, about three times faster than existing tvs.
