What about the size? Yes it’s true, the bigger the better, but wait a moment. First take a look to your TV room, if you have about 10 feet from the TV to your couch or bed you can go for a 65”, but if your space is smaller try to get a proportional smaller TV. How much will it cost to fix a 50 inch Vizio Plasma television? The power comes on, but no picture or sound?
I know the question is really broad. But here's the background info, I was walking home one night and noticed someone left a Vizio P50HDM 50 Inch Plasma television outside their home, I figured it was probably broken but took it in just in case.
Plugged in a cord, television turns on with the light and everything, but no picture or sound. Fans and everything else turn on however. I know it can be a wide array of problems but really I'm wondering what the range of how much it will cost to fix. Like an approximate minimum price would be really helpful
Reason being is that I'm moving back up to Seattle in less than two weeks and I either need to get it fixed and bring it with me as I'm shopping for a TV anyways. Or sell it off for whatever I can get, I've already had offers of $50.
Any information or advice would be greatly helpful.
Hard to tell. Probably not a power supply problem since it turns on. If it's a buffer board - $300-$400 (approximately). If it's the main logic board or the panel, then you can easily buy a new Vizio for what it would cost to repair it.
